About the Author

Mark LeGreve is an otherwise ordinary guy who grew up and remains in Northeast Wisconsin near the shores of Lake Michigan in Manitowoc County.

His life never had a great plan or great success but he learned a few things by mistake, education, trial & error, and by sheer luck or grace.

He is blessed by a beautiful, loving, patient, and forgiving wife, two adult daughters, two wonderful son in laws, and currently three grandchildren that tolerate him well.

He worked as a paper boy, dishwasher, convenience store clerk, factory worker, CAD drafter, manufacturing engineer, product development engineer, pastoral associate, hospital chaplain, and business manager.

His education includes a certificate in design drafting, associates in industrial engineering, a bachelors in management, and a MBA with an emphasis in Project Management. He also studied religious studies in formation to be a Catholic Permanent Deacon within the Diocese of Green Bay.

He is said to have founded The Haven of Manitowoc County, a men’s homeless shelter, but the truth is that was a first hand view of God healing him from the loss of his brother Matthew to suicide in June 2003.

He has been involved with suicide loss support, grief support, volunteer police chaplaincy, paid hospital chaplaincy, and general advocacy for the lost, lonely, broken, and marginalized.

He is finding that he is meant to be on what is said to be the edge of the inside of the outside of society and church. He really doesn’t fit well anywhere other than the edge of something else, but that just fine with him. He has been accused of being a bridge between spaces.
